Coping

unpatterned tea-stains

              lunar cycle ignorance

exposed wasp nest

              without painted meter

            doorstep haileys comet

forgot to go flying

misplaced song chorus

            replacing coat-pocket bills

                        catching a boot

                                    instead of crying

                        blanket wrapped day

            cocooning little trinkets

papercut search letters

            bleed fluent ink

gut punching feathers

               rip open night

             grief-compared-tide

implies beautiful sequence,

but really:

contorted stale concrete

laid inside your

mouth
