Let Me Relive my Childhood again
By Renu Aggarwal
Once again, I thought today,
Let me relive my childhood play.
No worries, no fear, and no pain,
just joy like a gentle summer rain
In raindrops falling, I’d dance and sing,
Make paper boats and let them fling.
Lie beneath stars and talk all night,
Till dreams take me in silver light.
Forget the books, no school alarm,
Shopping with grandma—oh, what a charm!
Bribe my brother with candy bright,
Then hide on the roof from Dad’s loud fright!
So let the children laugh and run,
To make memories beneath the sun.
For childhood’s magic won’t remain—
It’s a fleeting joy, not found again.
In every laugh and muddy splash so small,
There’s a feeling of renewal for us all.
Once again, I thought today,
Let me relive my childhood play.
