Just the Wind
By Dan Hardison

In the top of trees
rendered naked by winter
is a voice singing
but not the voice
of summer songbirds
it is the sound of the wind
amidst the bare branches
singing.

Closure
By Dan Hardison

The day is ending
with the obscurity of night
light fades into the darkness
with the last flicker
of what is left behind
like regrets and achievements
fade into memory.
