Poet World
By John Grey

Life

is much like the sonorous clang

of trucks and trash cans

in the early hours

of pickup morning.

But it can also accommodate

the gentle fall

of leaves and feathers

from the sky.

Living is where I come in.

I get to choose

which of these wakes me.
